Day 1 USA - Beijing
Board your Trans-Pacific flight to Beijing.
Day 2 Beijing
Arrive in Beijing and then transfer to hotel.
Day 3 Beijing (B, L, D)
Today explore Tiananmen Square - located in the center of Beijing City, it is
the largest square in China, The Forbidden City - here the 24 emperors of
the Ming and Ching Dynasties ruled the Middle Kingdom for nearly 500
years (1420-1911) and the Temple of Heaven - built in 1420, the temple was
where emperors worshipped heaven for good harvests. Then visit the Summer
Palace - the best preserved and largest imperial garden in China, followed by a
stop at the Pearl Market before returning to the hotel for the evening.
Day 4 Beijing (B, L, SD)
Today we visit the Jade Museum, the Great Wall of China at Juyong Pass - the
most famous military ancient strategic pass, the Ming-Ching Tombs - 3 imperial
tombs built in the 17th century, and later visit the 2008 Olympic Game venues
for outside views of the Bird's Nest and the Water Cube. In the evening, enjoy
a special Peking Duck Banquet.
Day 5 Beijing - Shanghai (B, L, D)
Fly to Shanghai in the morning. Upon arrival, board your coach to the city
of Suzhou - known as the "Venice of the East", where you will spend your
afternoon exploring Tiger Hill - a large hill covering over 3 acres and 118 feet
in height where you'll find historical sites that can be traced back over 2500
years to the founding of Suzhou.
Day 6 Suzhou - Hangzhou (B, L, D)
Today we visit Lingering Garden - one of the four most famous gardens in
China, the Silk Factory and the National Embroidery Institute. Afterwards,
board your coach to the wonderful city of Hangzhou. Upon arrival and checkin
at the hotel, enjoy the free evening at your leisure.
Day 7 Hangzhou - Shanghai (B, L, D)
Today, visit a Tea Plantation and the Lingyin Temple (the Temple of Soul's
Retreat) in the morning. In the afternoon, enjoy a boat ride on beautiful West
Lake. Afterwards, continue on your journey to the city of Shanghai. Upon
arrival, enjoy a free evening to explore the city on your own.
Day 8 Shanghai (B, L, D)
Spend the day exploring the city of Shanghai with a trip to The Bund - Shanghai's
famous waterfront, Yu Yuan Garden - a famous classical garden that dates back
to the Ming Dynasty and the Silk Rug Factory. Afterwards, explore the old town
bazaar at your leisure.
Day 9 Shanghai - USA (B)
After breakfast, board your coach to the airport to catch your international
flight back home to the U.S.
