Korea Discovery - 10 Days / 9 Nights

Day 1 Seoul

Arrive at Incheon International Airport where you will be transferred to Seoul to check-in to our hotel. The rest of the day is free to explore Seoul.



Day 2 Seoul (AB)

Today you will enjoy a half day DMZ tour. We will pick you up at your hotel and proceed to Imjingak Park, Unification Bridge (ID Check), DMZ theater and Exhibition Hall as well as the 3rd infiltration tunnel. Continue to Dorasan Observatory - Dorasan Station and then enjoy lunch. Continue through Unification Bridge, advance camp and then the freedom house where we finally head past the bridge of no return- Imjingak Park and return to Seoul at the Ginseng center. We are dropped off at Itaewon Street where the rest of the day is free at your own.

Day 3 Seoul-Jeju Island (AB, L)

After breakfast, we will take a morning flight to Jeju Island. We will begin our journey by visiting the Yongduam Rock(Dragon Head Rock) and admire the majestic rock formations and deep-blue waters.

Continue to Halla Arboretum to see 909 kinds of native trees and sub-tropical plants. Stop for a lunch at a local restaurant then move to watch a variety of performances by animals at - Pacific Land Show (optional, US$13PP).

Then continue to Yakechunsa Temple which is the greatest and largest in the East and serves 30 thousand budda statues in it. Tonight we overnight in Jeju.


Day 4 Jeju Island (AB, L)

Visit Cheonjeyeon Falls (the Pond of God) and Gyulimseong tangerine farm before boarding a scenic cruise aboard the Seogwipo Pleasure boat (at your own expense, US$18PP). Afterwards, we enjoy lunch before continuing onto Spirited Garden to view one of the most beautiful gardens in the world. We end our day with a leisurely walk along Olle narrow pathway by the shores of Yongmeori Beach. If the beach is closed we enjoy a visit to Sangbanggulsa cave instead.Tonight we overnight in Jeju.

Day 5 Jeju Island - Busan (AB, L)

Transfer to Seopjikoji, one of the most mysterious sights in Jeju Island where you can enjoy a trek along the Olle path. Visit Seongsan Ilchulbong Peak, a World Heritage Site and then take a step back into time to appreciate the Seongeup Folk Village. This village has preserved age-old Korean traditions and Confucious shrines and schools.

Here we enjoy lunch and if time permits, we visit the Museum of Natural History. Before catching our flight to Busan, we make a quick stop at a jewelry amethyst and local product store. Tonight we overnight in Busan.





Day 6 Busan-Gyeongju-Daegu (AB,L)

Today is a day filled with visits to several World Heritage sites. First we stop at Gyeongju National Museum, Bulguksa Temple and Seokguram Grotto. After marveling at these World Heritage sites, we make our way to Daegu to stay overnight
   

Day 7 Daegu-Hainsa Temple-Andong-Mt Sorak (AB, L)

Today we head to Haeinsa Temple, located in Gayasan National Park. This temple is known for its famous treasure "Tripitaka Koreana" which is also a UNESCO World Heritage site. Later transfer to Andong Hahoe Village, reminiscent of the Joseon Dynasty with its architecture and village structure before heading to Sokcho, a port of fishing boats and commercial ships to stay overnight.

Day 8 Mt Sorak-Seoul (AB, L)

Today we visit Seoraksan National Park with its tall peaks and breathtaking natural beauty. This UNESCO designated park is known for its rare species found within.

Visit Sinheungsa-temple located in Mt. Sorak and have the opportunity to join an optional tour that takes you up the Gwongeumseong Cable car to see the castle ruins located on the steep Dol Mountain of Seoraksan National Park area. Tonight we head back to Seoul.


Day 9 Seoul (AB,L)

Half day of sightseeing at Seoul before flying to Jeju. Stops in Seoul include Gyeongbokgung Palace where we watch the Royal guard changing ceremony. Also, visit National Folk Museum and Korean Ginseng Center. After lunch, we move to Korean Folk Village - you will experience the culture of the late Joseon Dynasty, it's huge village has about 260 different types of house of each province. Overnight in Seoul.



Day 10 Seoul (AB)

Today is your last day to spend at your leisure before we escort you to the airport for your flight home or onto your next destination.
